Family Camping in Devon

Safe, open fields. A play park. A Blue Flag beach ten minutes on foot. Leadstone is the kind of campsite where children roam freely, make friends on the first day, and ask to come back next year. And where parents finally get to sit down.

What families love about Leadstone
Badger Field
The family field. Play park, open grass, lots of sun and shade, and Amanda’s catering horsebox right there. Children can run around safely while you settle in.
On-site catering
Amanda’s horsebox in Badger Field, hot food, good coffee, fair prices. One less meal to cook.
Dawlish Warren Beach
Blue Flag beach, ten minutes on foot. Safe and shallow, with gentle surf and seasonal lifeguards. The walk is easy and suitable for prams and buggies.
Generous pitches
Enough room to set up properly. Awnings welcome, no extra charge. You won’t feel on top of your neighbours.
Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve
Right beyond the beach, 500 acres of dunes, birds and open space. Children love the dunes. Birdwatchers do too.
Families come back every year
The same families request the same pitch, year after year. The children grow up together. That’s not something you can manufacture, and it’s the thing guests mention most.
Family camping in Devon, the way it should be.

Book direct and choose where you stay - most families love Badger Field, but every pitch on the park is yours to pick.

How camping should be

The site is quiet from 10.30pm. That’s not a rule that needs enforcing, the tone of the park sets the expectation, and guests respect it. Evenings at Leadstone are genuinely calm.
The pitches are generous enough that you’re not on top of your neighbours. There’s a catering van so you’re not cooking every night. And Dawlish Warren beach is ten minutes on foot, which means a family beach morning doesn’t require a military operation.
Families who came in 2015 are still booking the same pitch. That’s not brand loyalty. That’s a campsite that gets it right.

Don’t just take our word for it

Very clean and well maintained camp ground, with good toilets and shower facilities. Children’s play area went down a treat with tractor loving toddler and the food and coffee hut (Amanda’s) was such a welcome treat, especially the sausage bap.

We booked may bank holiday to take our 4yr old granddaughter away for her first Moho holiday Staff are fabulous, friendly, knowledgeable about the local area and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Pitch sizes are nice and big. Quiet nights sleep. Site is vast with different areas for pitches, all lovely and clean and there’s an onsite shop. Small kids play area, great food truck on site that’s very well priced. Amenities are immaculately clean. Bus stop outside. 10/15 walk to the beach. WiFi can be purchased on site.

Would happily book again. Great value

Keep them busy. Come back to calm.
