Discover leadstone

Leadstone Holiday Park is perfectly located to access most of Devon’s fantastic attractions and it’s easy to get from the site to wherever takes your fancy. Roads are relatively quiet for most of the year (apart from in high season!).

Dawlish Warren is a top place to be in Devon, both for its safe, clean beach and its sand dunes leading onto the 500-acre Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve, a hugely popular spot with birdwatchers and botanists.

On foot, you can walk the half mile to the Warren (it’s a safe stroll and suitable for prams) or get to the South West Coast Path within 10 minutes; it’s also half a mile to the Exe Cycle Trail or the circular six-mile Dawlish Discovery Walk.

Places to explore

Just a mile away is the Exe estuary, another top local spot, ideal for fishing, hiking, biking and birdwatching. The town of Dawlish itself is only a mile and a half away, when you visit be sure to look out for the famous black swans.

Also nearby is the harbour and two pubs which are definitely worth a visit at Cockwood, two and a half miles away, and golf at Starcross where you can also take the ferry to Exmouth. Shaldon, seven miles away, has another golf course and can be reached by ferry from the busy resort of Teignmouth. For towns, take off to Exminster (nine miles; more golf), Torquay (10 miles), Newton Abbot (11 miles; racecourse and ancient market), Exeter (13 miles) and Paignton (13 miles; take the steam railway from here to Kingswear and Dartmouth).

You’ll never run out of places to explore nearby
